D and M Construction Regulations

Construction (Design and Management) Regulations

The Construction Design and Management (CEM) Regulations 2015 contain many changes. It sets out the regulations for health and safety in construction. The 2015 regulations recently replaced those of 2007.

The Construction Design and Management (CEM) Regulations 2015 requires projects to use skilled workers. Projects should also use contractors that provide supervision and experience. Another requirement is that a project should have a written construction plan. We can provide downloadable sample of this to candidates.

If more than one contractor is involved in a project, you need to appoint a principle contractor. There should also be a health and safety file opened. If a project lasts for a specific time, the client should notify the HSE about the project. This is especially true of the project lasts for more than 30 days, with more than 20 workers on the project.
