Safety Documentation in Reading
Managing Safely in Reading and Berkshire
The law requires any business that employs more than 5 people, including the owners and part time staff, to have written health and safety documentation which is displayed on site. This document is known as a health and safety policy statement. Linked to this statement will be the arrangements that exist within your organisation for dealing with health and safety.
There is also another crucial piece of documentation called the Arrangements Manual; this outlines your organisations policy for dealing with all aspects of health and safety within your workplace. This documentation covers things such as; COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health), hazard reporting, fire precautions, communication and consultation, noise, machinery, accident and incident reporting, first aid, DSE (Display Screen Equipment), electrical safety, employee security and a lot more.
This all may sound quite over whelming, we can produce this documentation for you, we will come to your premises and take note of any arrangements that already exist, if none do then we will be able to advise the best way to deal with health and safety issues in your organisation from the ground floor up.
After this documentation has been completed it will outline and formalise all the arrangements you have put into place. It will name the key players within your organisation and their health and safety responsibilities and will show where everyone in the company fits into the overall structure of the health and safety strategy.
